Beneficiaries of the Ngarlawangga Charitable Trust #

Ngarlawangga People as defined under native title determination WCD2016/007 and the Ngarlawangga Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NAC) may benefit from the Trust. If you are not a Member of Ngarlawangga Aboriginal Corporation, you will need to apply to NAC to confirm that you are a Ngarlawangga Person.

Ngarlawangga People who are not receiving benefits from another trust may apply to become a beneficiary of the Trust.

Once someone is approved as a beneficiary, they become eligible to receive charitable benefits and payments.

Member Benefits Program #

Ngarlawangga Aboriginal Corporation has a number of ways it supports Members in areas of health, lore and culture, education and relief of poverty. Eligible beneficiaries can receive charitable benefits and payments from the Ngarlawangga Charitable Trust. The Member Benefits Program supports the Ngarlawangga priority areas, as outlined in the 2024 - 2028 Strategic Plan. These programs and their purposes are listed below.

The aim of these distributions is to benefit Ngarlawangga people's daily lives by supporting members with their general expenses, through the provision of once-off payments during the Christmas and July months.

The aim of the Elders Fund is to honour Ngarlawangga senior members.

The aim of this fund is to advance education amongst the community, by supporting Ngarlawangga Members and Ngarlawangga Children to maximise their potential through educational and training opportunities.

The aim of the Medical Assistance Program is to ensure that the medical and health needs of Ngarlawangga Members and Ngarlawangga Children are being met.

The aim of the Funeral Program is to provide assistance to Ngarlawangga Members for the costs of a Ngarlawangga member's funeral.

The purpose of this fund is to provide support to Ngarlawangga boys going through lore.
